PANDIT SHRIKANT BAKRE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION (PSBMF) is the result of dreams for years of The Founder, Shri Akhil Kumar Das. After a long struggle for twenty years, Shri Akhil Kumar Das realized that Hindustani Classical Musicians needed promotion to exhibit their talent in India and across the world for which he made his page FIRST GENERATION MUSICIANS (FGM) on Facebook as one of the platforms for unnoticed talented Classical Musicians. He got a lot of positive response from the musicians towards his plan. He continued thinking, explaining, and communicating with musicians through this page for three years. He was waiting for the right moment to transform his dream into reality. During this period, he got messages from his Guru Pandit Shrikant Bakre Ji through different dreams which gave his plan and path an easy & transparent start. Time automatically changed his mind to dedicate FGM to Pandit Shrikant Bakre Ji and a self-spirited initiative made him form a Trust, naming Pandit Shrikant Bakre Memorial Foundation (PSBMF) which was registered on the 15th of March 2013. This is a no-profit, no-loss charitable trust which has got responsibility of promoting Hindustani Classical Music to the underprivileged section of the society as well.
